Welcome

In 1919 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, a group of Jewish men and women expanded their spiritual meetings and created a synagogue. They built a place that made them feel at home in their community.

Today, the Bay Ridge Jewish Center continues as a home for those that seek expression of their faith as well as those that want to learn about Judaism through prayer, celebration, socializing and education.A spiritual space which grew to celebrate their faith. They built a base for communal ritual, charity work, experiencing life’s cycles, forming lifelong friendships and teaching their heritage to their children. Today we are the beneficiaries of the efforts made nearly a century ago.

We are an egalitarian congregation affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. We offer a warm and friendly hand to all who enter, including: single adults, young and mature families, the elderly, children or adults with special needs and intermarried couples.

Come to celebrate the Sabbath and observe the holidays, to study Torah, to dance, to do good deeds, to commune with new friends and gain a spiritual and social outlook that will last a lifetime.
